once you agree to a price and give the $100 deposit to secure your booking, that's when they will constantly remind you to give 18%-25% tip in several emails. They even put up a website to explain why you need to give that much tip. do the movers get a restaurant wait staff salary? i gave a $440...
Moving is stressful, heightened with the pandemic, and even more so for a first time home buyer. I called a few places, and Danny from Veterans Movers called and was very much available to me. They scheduled a zoom/facetime walk-thru of my apartment to see what I needed and to give me a better quote...
They were very punctual, arrived right on time, very efficient, nothing was lost, nothing was broken, moved was done as easy as possible. The three guys that moved us in December 10 were polite, fast and really nice
I have to say the movers were friendly and helpful but so many of my items were broken or scratched. Two of my favorite tables had a scratch and five pieces of pottery were broken. Every time I called the customer service could not answer my questions and my boxeslooked like they were thrown around...

Veteran Movers NYC reached out to me with a resolution to pay for the original cost of the table. I very much appreciate the response after my review. I wish all of this could have been dealt with in a more timely manner but I suppose these things happen.
