Direct Moving & Storage

★★★★★★★★★★ Yelp

Ted and his crew have moved my family twice and I consistently recommend them to my friends and clients. They are fairly priced, efficient, careful with your belongings, polite and friendly!!!

Ridiculous My 62-year-old mother called around to get quotes for a move to her new apartment. Ted Marcinkus personally came to her apartment, walked through the space, and gave her a quote of $1,590 for the entire move. She was happy with that price and stopped shopping around. Unfortunately, I wa...

I had a great experience with Direct Moving & Storage in a 4-BR home local move. The owner, Ted, provided not only the most competitive quote, but said he could do it in one day, whereas another company insisted it would take 2 days (with the same number of workers). They packed up our belongings on...

Ted and his team helped us move out of our one-bedroom in the City to our place in Westchester. They were punctual, professional, helpful and terrific to work with. It was a great experience from beginning to end.

Horrible service! They did not wear masks and gloves. Harassed us for extra cash(i.e which were for items already included in the original bill)and said that they would not unload items unless that was paid in the middle of the move, were extremely slow as they were chit chatting in the middle of th...

Read the other one star reviews. I only wish that there were choices to rate Ted at zero or negative stars. We contracted with him to move some furniture from our then current apartment to a new apartment on a higher floor in the same building and to move some left-over furniture to our week-end hou...

Direct Moving is the best moving company we have ever worked with. Ted and his team showed up on time and ready to work at 7:00am. They all had masks and gloves on (COVID). Moving is never easy but moving during a pandemic is extra stressful. The team was calm, moved quickly and diligently, polite a...

This is an overdue review from June/July. Ted and his son Lucas moved what was basically a full three bedroom home's worth of stuff from Tarrytown to Jacksonville, FL. They only had help (from one guy) on the FL end and both locations were 2 story houses. Very efficient and careful father and son du...

This is the best moving company on the east coast. We used them to help move my mom from Westchester county NY to West Palm Beach. Their pricing is great, and worth every penny. Unlike any other moving company I have ever used. Ted, the owner, was involved in every step. His son, Lucas, picked up ou...

I used Direct Moving to move me long distance about 2 weeks ago from NY to FLA. First off their price was reasonable and fair. But more importantly their attention to detail was superb. I had some delicate items that needed special attention and they arrived in perfect condition. Everything did! The...

Professional, fast, nice and reasonable-I couldn't have asked for better movers. Ted and his gang were great! Highly recommend! I hope I never have to move again..but if I do, I will surely use Ted and his movers. Ted is a lovely man and his employees were great. They did the whole thing in about 5...

I used this company 6 years ago. Unfortunately it was a terrible experience. They arrived 5 hours late and got mad at us for being upset. Then they refused to unload our truck until they were prepaid. (I'm guessing they were worried since they failed to fulfill their side of the contract that we wou...

This was the worst moving experience I have ever had. Ted and his crew were hired to pack up our four bedroom house in Larchmont, NY and move our belongings to California. Upon unpacking our boxes, we have discovered loads of items missing. To wit: we are missing our flat screen television, the legs...
